CIRCL.AI: The home of your AI-Powered Workforce

Today I’m going to write a little bit about something that I’ve been working on — CIRCL.AI (under the umbrella of my business, IndustrySwarm).
IndustrySwarm is investing into research and development into new technologies, including — the application of large language models like GPT-3 to business process automation and the Future of Work.
Transformer models like GPT-3 have been used in a variety of use cases to date, but none appear to be pushing the boundaries of what is possible. There are a tonne of marketing copy generation websites (like Jarvis / Conversion.ai), and some more interesting ones like decision support tools. But the capabilities of GPT-3 exceed these somewhat bland use cases.
GPT-3 is capable of conversation. Of reasoning. And in many cases common sense. If programmed with well thought out prompts it can come up with new ideas and solve problems.
These are all things that have fallen into the human-only domain to date. But suddenly there is another option. IndustrySwarm is looking to see how far we can take this.
Initially, with our circl.ai platform we are looking to solve the problem of product and business idea validation. ~90% of new products or startups fail within their first year, and we believe that using properly trained transformer models we can mitigate and drastically reduce this risk of failure. And the way that we are looking at going about this is via a conversational mechanism.
If you’ve looked at the circl.ai website you will have noticed that we have introduced our first AI Persona — Groucho Marx (yes — named after the comedian from the turn of last century). Groucho will help our users validate their business ideas through conversation and through testing demand for and viability of the ideas with real prospective customers.
But we don’t want to stop there. We want to introduce a variety of different AI Personas, each capable of helping our users understand and apply various domain topics to their business (idea). An AI Persona that is an expert in eCommerce. Another Persona that is an expert in Payment Systems. And yet another who knows all the growth hacks. And many, many more.
And you will be able to hire these AI Personas to help you validate, test, launch and grow your idea into a fully operational business.
We will offer a range of AI Personas, each with a unique personality. So far on our platform, in addition to our founding persona, we have also added the Christian God, Lao Tzu of the Tao Te Ching, Rick Sanchez from the television show Rick & Morty and Veronica Mars from the tv show of the same name.
When hiring an AI Persona you will be able to select a domain topic to train it up in — from eCommerce to Payments. From Manufacturing to Travel.
We call this Design Your Workforce.
You will be able to converse with the AI Personas that you hire via whatever mechanism you feel most comfortable using. Currently we have them semi-functional within a real-time chat (text messaging) platform. Groucho can also be reached via Live Chat on the circl.ai homepage and via SMS on his own mobile phone number. We also want to add voice chat (via his mobile number) and video chat (via Zoom, Google Meet and similar platforms). We want our personas to be as accessible as your existing employees.
In addition to 1:1 conversations with each of the AI Personas, you can also carry out a group chat within any one of a number of channels on the chat platform. You can currently facilitate a conversation between multiple AI Personas on the platform by posting messages in the channel that are directed at each persona. All personas are aware of the recent chat history within the channel that they are in, and can tailor their responses accordingly.
And we are working to fine-tune our “Workshops” feature. Where you can post a message in a channel describing the goal of your workshop and then have the AI Personas collaborate in a hands-off fashion with one another as they work their way towards the goal that you set. And this is without any interaction from you — unless you choose to participate.
This is just the start. Our AI Personas will be able to do anything your [knowledge worker] employees are capable of. Sure they may make mistakes occasionally, but as we refine the technology they will get better and better at helping you understand your business and its interface with your customers and the market. And they will help you grow your business until there is no stopping you!
